Fuller Christmas Card 2016

This year there was a whopping 21 people to turn into gingerbread men and put on the Christmas Card.  I have told myself that this will be the last all inclusive card for this company.  ...It's just too many people in too small of a space!  Plus I have been finding it increasingly difficult to get Fuller to allot the time needed for the project.  It took about 40 hrs over the course of too many weeks.
(p.s. if the colors look all wonky after you click on the thumbnail, I'm sorry.  I don't know what is causing that)

Messianic Ketubah - Calligraphy

This is the big calligraphy piece I was working on. For those of you who don't know what a "Ketubah" is, it is basically the couples wedding vows and is a big part of a traditional Jewish wedding. Thusly, the text on the left is Hebrew.  The imagery is also comprised of messianic Jewish symbolism.  This was the first time I have ever tried to write Hebrew and I enjoyed learning about the language. However, in the future, I would prefer sticking to alphabets similar to English. :)

Media: ink and gouache with touches of metallic gold paint.

Wedding Calligraphy

This is a small piece (8X10) that I completed for someone I know who is getting married this month. I tried to have fun with it by not keeping the text linear and making the spots of color with metallic pigments.  It's one of a kind, but maybe I will be inspired to do similar things sometime in the future.  I do have another calligraphy piece on my drawing board at the moment which was actually part of the inspiration for this (however it is a completely different animal...more on that later...).

2015 Fuller Xmas Card

Some of you have been waiting for this.... well here it is: This year's company Christmas Card.  We had a lot of changes in the past year, including changing the company name this past December.  Thusly, I designed the Christmas card as a way to announce the new name to our clients.
